Prior to the 1st visit we will confirm the co-payment, deductible, maximum visits allowed per year, and more. Ensuring that your clients have this information in a timely manner avoids surprises pertaining to insurance coverage. This saves you time and money but helping to avoid large patient balances/uncollected payments from clients.

Claims Management

Call insurance companies to check on status of unpaid claims, refile claims, and appeal denials.

Claim Submission
Electronic claims submission is done on a daily basis to ensure consistent cash flow. Our billing specialists review all client patient data and carefully enters it into our billing software. â€‹We are currently only working with clients that use Simple Practice EHR system.

Claim Follow Up
Persistent claims follow-up is provided to include payment status, partial payments, denials and successful insurance appeals. We analyze claims payment on a regular basis to ensure maximum reimbursement is received.

Insurance Payment Posting
Receiving payments via EFT (electronic funds transfer) is recommended because of the efficiency and speed of the service. Once you are enrolled with EFT’s we will set you up for ERA’s so that we have quick access to payment and denials from the insurance company. These ERA’s are delivered directly to Simple Practice and are posted daily to ensure the most accurate account information.

Appeals
Insurance companies make no verbal or written guarantee that a claim will be paid, however we work on your behalf to ensure all options are explored to secure payment for unpaid or wrongfully denied claims. In the rare event that we are unsuccessful, we won’t get paid. With skin in the game this ensures claim payment is collected to the best of our ability.

Patient Billing 
We will bill your patient’s for their share of cost once the EOB/ERA has been posted. If your patient forgets to make payment/copayment in your office or after receiving their statement we will notify you promptly in order to obtain full payment or set up a payment plan. All account inquiries are handled promptly, professionally and always friendly. We want to help your patients maintain the great experience with their Therapist.

TheraPay does not perform collection activity (credit reporting) services.
